A BLOOMING VISION:
THE JOURNEY TO CREATING GREEN WALLS IN UKRAINE.

Growing up in a small town in Ukraine, I was captivated by nature. Flowers, trees, and vibrant plants filled my days with joy and wonder. As a child, I explored meadows and forests, collecting wildflowers and pressing them into handmade books. My love for nature was clear to everyone, and I knew my future would be intertwined with the natural world.

My fascination with plants deepened as I grew older, particularly inspired by Patrick Blanc, the inventor of the modern green wall. His stunning vertical gardens transformed urban spaces into lush, living tapestries, igniting my dream of creating similar masterpieces in my country.

Eager to gain the necessary knowledge and experience, I moved to Sweden to work for an innovative interior landscaping company. My time there was transformative, learning the intricacies of plant care, green wall technology, and creating harmonious indoor environments. The company's commitment to sustainability resonated deeply with my values, inspiring me to integrate nature into urban settings.

During my years in Sweden, I immersed myself in green architecture, attending workshops and collaborating with designers. I even met Patrick Blanc during his visit to Stockholm, reinforcing my determination to bring green walls to Ukraine.

My first project, a small green wall in a café, quickly became a popular spot, leading to commissions for offices, schools, and public buildings. While the most ambitious project was a large-scale green walls 300ms total in Governmental Academy in Kyiv. Nine different walls featured a diverse array of plants, including flowering ones, receiving widespread acclaim and solidifying Greendezeen reputation as a pioneer of green walls in Ukraine.

To further enhance my skills, I pursued an education at Cambridge University, enrolling in the Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment (IDBE) in 2023. This program was pivotal in shaping my understanding of sustainability in both my life and work, providing me with the tools needed to drive sustainability initiatives.

Armed with newfound knowledge, I aim to returned to Ukraine with a clear vision: to continue creating green walls that would beautify urban spaces, promote sustainability, and improve urban life. My team and me gonna reach out to local businesses, city planners, and environmental organizations sending invites to become a part of Sustainable Development Organization .

I commence promoting a recycling initiative called FLEUR Power. This project focuses on green waste recycling and 3D printing anthills to boost biodiversity in cities, enhancing urban ecosystems and promoting sustainability.

Reflecting on my journey, I feel a deep sense of fulfillment. My love for nature, has blossomed into a career that brings beauty and sustainability to urban spaces. I continue to dream of a future where green walls and sustainable practices are common in Ukrainian cities, transforming concrete jungles into verdant landscapes. And with each new project, I remember the simple joy I felt as a child, admiring the beauty of every flower.
